Carroll Dale Holland Jr.

Obituary Carroll Dale Holland, Jr. was born on April 11, 1968 to the late Carroll Holland, Sr. and Mary Holland. He departed this life on February 18, 2025 at Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. Carroll received his education from the Accomack County Public Schools as well as earning some college credits. He worked various jobs throughout his life, but carpentry was his passion. Before his health declined, you could find him hanging drywall or painting. Carroll married his high school sweetheart, Stacey C. West on August 13, 1990. Through this union they were blessed with two daughters. Carroll was affectionately known as “Cadale”, Sly, Pops, and Pop Pop, just to name a few. Cadale was known for his knowledge and passion for sports. Everyone in the family knew that if you played a sport, Cadale was giving tips, and would possibly throw in a quick practice. He always was the center of laughter at any gathering. He could tell a story like no other and could keep a crowd going. He had his own special bond with his family and loved ones. No matter the time or occasion, you were guaranteed a good laugh before the conversation was over. Cadale was also known for his love for his grandchildren. Whenever they were around, they did no wrong. Carroll leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Stacey W. Holland; his children, Taniqua West, Jamar Duncan, Breon Ayers, Shaniqua Holland, TyKarol Knox-Holland and KaAsia Knox-Holland; grandchildren, Jamar Duncan, Jr., Katie Trader, Kai and Bryson Ayers and Joshua Spencer; siblings, Marquita Christian (Willis), Aaron Holland, Shawn Godwin, Cassandra Thomas and Karen Levant; aunts and uncles, Marion West (Benny), Karen Harmon (Kevin), Abraham Drummond (Marcie), Delaphine Miller, Ella Miller, Marshell Handy (George), Kay Rosell (Marcus), Cynthia Nock (Randolph) and William Miller, Jr. (Maria); his sisters- and brothers-in-law, Kisha West, Carolyn Watts, Parshall Shockley (Reginald), Wayne Watts (Nora), Michael West (Shawn), Percy Watts (Myra) and Marshall Watts, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his relatives, he had a 40 year friendship with Rodney “Monty” Armstrong, who preceded him in death. Their bond was unbreakable and they are together once again.
