Zion Allure' Ross

Zion A'llure “Bear-Bear” Ross, the daughter of JaDonna Ross and Lyn Deputy, was born on March 17, 1999. She departed this life on February 28, 2022. Zion attended school in the Seaford School District and went on to graduate from Berkley Springs High School in West Virginia in May, 2017. Bear-Bear worked many jobs but was most excited about receiving her Certified Nursing Assistant credentials. After completing the course, Bear received her certification at Genesis Healthcare in Seaford, Delaware. Zion was very quiet and laid back, but also adventurous. She loved to cook. One thing you didn't have to worry about when it came to Bear-Bear, was eating good. She loved to help her mother in the kitchen. Zion was also very artistic. She loved to draw and put together fun, recreational things to do with her brothers. Zion had a caring heart. She loved to see her family and anyone she dealt with, happy and never asked for anything in return. Zion spent most of her spare time either hanging with friends or with her long-time childhood cousin/friend, Denetra Johnson “Cookie”; or even just sitting on the green box outside of her mother's house, enjoying the fresh air. Zion definitely enjoyed her last 2 weeks, spending time at her grandparents' house, watching tv, watching them dance, Pop-Pop teasing her, and acting silly. Zion was preceded in death by her great grandmothers, Maggie Fletcher, Dorothy Ross-Wilcox and Helen Cannon; great grandfathers, James Williams, James Ross, Isaac Cannon and Eugene Custis; and uncles, Isaac Ross, Jr. “Lil Dicky” and Antonia Deputy. Zion is survived by her mother, JaDonna Ross; father, Lyn Deputy; three brothers with whom she lived, Shylyn Ross, Dwayne Wright, Jr. & Micah Ross; special nephew, "Xaki Ross" whom she adored. Bear was also survived by four additional brothers, Lyn Deputy, Tywuan Purnell, Jawuan Deputy and Raheem Deputy; one sister, Jasmine Deputy; grandparents, Isaac & Laverne Ross and Charlotte Deputy; six aunts, Terra Ross, Rosalyn Ross, Charette Deputy, Lynette Custis, Lynelle Custis and Nikki Custis; two uncles, Terrance Ross and Paul Deputy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
