Tysha Leigh White

After a long and courageous battle, Tysha Leigh White exited her earthly home to spend eternity with the Lord on Sunday, November 26, 2017. Tysha, 26, was born to Althea Palmer-White and the late Ty Kevin White on July 25, 1991 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Tysha accepted Christ into her life at an early age. She attended Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. Church with her father, for years. She later rededicated her life and knew that it was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the power of prayer that kept her through some very difficult times. Tysh, as she was affectionately known to family members and friends, attended schools in the Laurel School District. She graduated from Laurel Senior High School in 2009. She went on to further her education by attending the University of Delaware in Newark and then Delaware Technical & Community College in Georgetown. Tysha began her employment at McDonalds. Because of her strong work ethics, she was immediately promoted from a crew trainer to a floor supervisor. It was at this time that her health didn’t allow her to continue working. When she was well enough to start working again, she became employed with Starbucks in Salisbury, MD. Tysha was a fun, loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She enjoyed family BBQ’s, dinners and other family get-togethers. She loved her Aunt Verdine’s “black” (chocolate) cake with white icing. She also enjoyed going on shopping excursions with her Mom and niece, Dy’Asia. In addition, she enjoyed Black Friday shopping with her Aunt Natalie and her cousin, the late Deborah Waller only to get a few hours of shopping completed before she would say “Aunt Natalie, I’m hungry. When we goin’ eat?” She also enjoyed her outings with all of her friends and favorite cousins Bianca and Courtney. During her down time, she enjoyed relaxing and watching Grey’s Anatomy and The Walking Dead. Tysha loved cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers as she carried on her father’s legacy of being a devoted fan. While growing up, Tysha’s father always instilled in her the importance of education. In turn, she has instilled these same values in her niece, Dy’Asia. Her mother Althea, has always deeply admired this gift from Tysha that will continue to live on. Tysha leaves to cherish her memory a loving mother, Althea Palmer-White; grandparents, Joseph and Virginia Palmer; Robert and Lola Mae Williams; a brother, Darius Palmer; sisters NaKeita (Antonio) West and Kisha Beckett; nieces Dy’Asia McDougald, Jaela Beckett, Aliviah West; nephews Antonio West, Jr. and Zachariah West; aunts Verdine (Forrest) Puckham, Gloria (Marcus) Gillespie, Natalie (Larry) Moore, Suzette (Howard) Carter, Zelda Green, Connie Rayford, Michelle (Daryl) Cephus, Wanda (Gregory) Harris, Lanora Ann (John) House, Janice Moore, Dynthia Burris, Jackie Davenport; uncles – Gerald (Linda) Echols, Joseph Palmer, Jr., Rayfield (Sandy) Palmer, Kevin (Shirley) Palmer, Andre Palmer, Patrick Palmer, Andre White, Derrick (Chaunda) Matthews, Tyrone (Lori) Matthews, Danny Burris, Ronald Hitchens, Sr., and Elwood Holley; a special friend Dwayne Horsey and a host of great-aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ty Kevin White, paternal grandparents, Noveta and Wilroy Matthews, aunts Vanessa Hitchens and Sharon Holley.
