Thomas Philmore Jackson

Thomas Philmore Jackson, son of Mark and Priscilla Jackson, was born on December 26, 1964, at Kent and Queen Anne’s Hospital Center in Chestertown, Maryland. He departed this life on January 18, 2020, at Hospice of Spokane South in Spokane, Washington. He was raised by his devoted great-grandparents, Alice Hopkins and Thomas Blunt, who took him everywhere he wanted to go. He received his education from the Kent County Public School system, attending Henry Highland Garnett Elementary, Chestertown Middle School and graduating in 1983, from Kent County High School. As a young boy, Thomas aka “Phil” or “Jip Joe” loved playing with Jerome Lindsey and Mark Berry on the railroad tracks, or riding/sliding down the double slopes at Washington College. During his high school years, he played Lacrosse and participated in Track and Field activities, where he represented Kent County in both State and Regional competitions for the Triple Jump. After high school, Phil continued his education at Frostburg State University, Washington College and Spokane Community College, from which he graduated in 2017. Due to his love of computers and the art of photography, he opened his own company called Black Panther Images. His most cherished model for his displays was his beautiful daughter. Phil was also gainfully employed at CSL Plasma Labcorp PSC. Phil married Pamela Harper on April 16, 1996, and from this union came one daughter. Phil was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Alice Hopkins and Thomas Blunt; grandparents, Doris Hynson, James Jackson, Bessie Nelson and Joseph Marshall; brother, Mark Bernard Jackson, Jr.; aunt, Sheila Copper Caldwell; and niece, Cameron “Cami” Lumpkins. Phil leaves to cherish his memory, parents, Mark & Priscilla Jackson, Chestertown, MD; ex-wife, Pamela Harper Jackson; daughter, Ushonika Jackson; stepdaughter, Urece Dewitt, Ayden, NC; two sisters, Dorese Jackson, Chestertown, MD and Charlene Aldridge, Dover, DE; step-granddaughter, Zariah Andrews, Ayden, NC; uncle, Pete Jackson (Loretta), Denton, MD; aunts, Connie Jackson, Baltimore, MD and Margo Chatt, Chestertown, MD, nieces, Tynisha, Ronisha, Danielle, Chelsea, Sherese, Megan, Marrisa, Miranda and MiKayla; nephew, Durell; great nieces; great nephew; cousins; and a host of extended family and friends.
