Rose Marie Frasier

Rose Marie “Rhee” Fraser, born on December 14, 1960, in Newark, NJ, was the eldest daughter of eight children of the late Berry Thomas Sr. and Betty Green. She departed this life peacefully at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Rose attended Newark Public Schools and she was employed at Atlantic Manufacturing for many years, until they closed. During this time, she also worked as a bartender, where she met the love of her life Rudolph Fraser. She then worked for the North Jersey Developmental Center, in Totowa, New Jersey, until her early retirement and relocation to Maryland. She was a member of Greater Bethel Zion COGIC in Delmar, Delaware where she served as an usher on occasion. Although her health started to decline, she remained strong, and her faith did not waiver. Rose married Rudolph Fraser on December 12, 1992, and from this union they had two children; daughter; Jennifer Patricia Fraser and son; Michael Alan Fraser. She also had two granddaughter’s that she adored Za’Isha Fraser; Za’Erah Fraser-Calhoun. Rose was affectionately known as “Rhee” by family. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she leaves to cherish fond memories, her mother, Betty Green; stepmother, Sandra Thomas; grandmother, Mattie Enos; three sisters: Luretta Thomas-Alexander, Terry Thomas-Jackson (Dwight) and Joyce Green (Curtis); three brothers: Rufford Enos, Berry Thomas Jr., and Ernest Thomas, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, several special friends: Mr. Dizzy, Randy, and Susan and other friends. She was especially fond of her great-nephew A’mier Thomas and lovingly gave the nickname “Scooter Scoot”. In addition to her father, Berry Thomas Sr. she was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph Fraser; stepfather Daniel Green; and one sister, Jennifer Thomas. Rhee was very kind-hearted, loving and always willing to help someone in need. She would look forward to Sunday afternoon dinners at Mom’s house. The family would tease and call this her “free play” time with her Sister Lulu (Luretta). She enjoyed all gatherings with her family & close friends and that was sure to be a good time with laughter, love, good food and music. It wouldn’t be long before she would talk up a game of spades at any occasion. It was known that if you were her partner you better bring your “A” game or she would let you have it. Rhee was as real as they come, she had a genuine warm spirit and welcomed everyone she met with open arms. Rose, you will truly be missed.
