Ronald Lee Taylor

Obituary Ronald “Hank” Lee Taylor, Sr., 71 departed this earthy life on Saturday, October 8, 2022, in Tuskegee, Alabama. Born Monday, August 6, 1951, in Salisbury, Maryland, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Mae Taylor, and Eugene “Bill” Williams. His early Christian education was received at Old Union Church in Delmar, Maryland where is participated in the Youth Choir, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, and the Gay Feathers 4-H Club where he loved and displayed his talents in agriculture and won the opportunity to participate in a public speaking competition in Chicago, Illinois. Several years he studied with Jehovah's Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall in Salisbury, Maryland. His educational training was received in the Wicomico County Public Schools. During High School in participated in the band, Basketball, Wrestling, Track and Field. He continued his education at Salisbury State College. He was employed by the Town of Delmar, Purdue Farms, and parttime at Coastal Wood Industries in Eden. After moving to San Antonio, Texas to reside with is son Ronald, Jr. while there he worked at Walmart, Aramark, (PPP) Parties, Picnics and Promotions, and Promised Land Dairy, After 15 years he returned to Maryland. As a young man he was obsessed with purchasing preowned (junk) cars. He loved fishing, playing cards, cooking, drinking Budweiser, and was an avid reader, especially cowboy novels. Anyone who knew our brother knew you could rarely get a kiss, a hug, or I love you from him, yet we knew how much he loved and cared for us. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Ronald Lee Taylor, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas; a stepson, Michael Wyche of Columbia, Maryland; two brothers, Dwight Taylor of Delmar, Maryland, Bryan Taylor and wife Darlene of Salisbury, Maryland; three sisters, Reverend Barbara Gordy of Delmar, Maryland, Thelma Taylor Morris and husband Arnold, of Salisbury, Maryland, and Christine Taylor and Tennyson of Hyattsville, Maryland; Two brother cousins, Garry Trader of Salisbury, Maryland and Lamont and wife Winnie of Owens Mills, Maryland; three sister cousins, Bernice and Sharon Trader of Delmar, Maryland, Phyllis Horsey and husband Herbert of Salisbury, Maryland. Five Half sisters, Evelyn Stanley and husband Melvin of Seaford, Delaware, Jeanette Peterson of Georgetown, Delaware, Alice Freeman and husband Greg of North Carolina, Bonnie Hatton of Millsboro, Delaware, Lewanda Wright and husband Henry of Lancaster, New York; two half- brothers, Earl Williams of Dover, Delaware, Eugene Williams and wife Carolyn of Millsboro, Delaware; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, VaRon Taylor and half sister, Betty Gooch.
