Maurice Arthur Hudson Sr.

Honoring the Life of Maurice A. Hudson, Sr. Maurice Arthur Hudson, Sr., lovingly known as “Marty”, departed this life peace fully at the age of sixty (60) on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Maryland. He was born on January 1, 1962 to the late Dorothy and Herman “Bus” Hudson, Sr. He received his education in the Worcester County public school system in Snow Hill, Maryland. During his youth, he received his spiritual training at Mount Wesley United Methodist and Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Churches. Marty was employed at Walmart for twenty-eight (28) years. He also worked seasonal Security in Ocean City, Maryland and for Montgomery Ward in Salisbury, Maryland. United in holy matrimony on October 18, 2008 to Shyree Jackson, their union produced one son. Marty was always willing to work and take care of his family. When he opened his mouth and you saw his gold tooth shining, that smile would light up any room. He was known for his jokes and talking trash. Marty enjoyed crabbing, cooking, playing cards, BBQing, washing his truck and spending time with his sons and family. Ohhh and you can’t forget that he loved watching his favorite team, the “Chicago Bears.” Marty leaves to cherish unforgettable, precious memories: his loving wife, Shyree Jackson and his one son, Maurice “Mar Mar” Hudson, Jr.; one stepdaughter, Shy’Asia Blake; one sister, Hermetta Hudson of Berlin, Maryland; three brothers, Anthony (Laverne) Hudson of Bowie, Maryland, Brian (Valerie) Hudson of Delaware and Alphonso Hudson, Fairmount, Maryland; two brothers whom he raised as his sons, Wesley (Marita) Johnson and Blake (Charlene) Johnson of Norway; two sisters-in-law, Mia Nelson and Pecora Jackson, both of Snow Hill, Maryland; father-in-law, George (Debbie) Johnson; numerous godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Over the last decade Marty lovingly embraced four bonus sons, Ray’Shon Baine, Sha’Miaz Elsey, Curtis Blake, and TaJohn Johnson. In addition to his parents, Dorothy Taylor-Blake Hudson and Herman Arthur Hudson, Sr., Marty was preceded in death by one brother, Herman Arthur Hudson, Jr. LOVINGLY SUBMITTED ~ THE FAMILY
