Marlene Wilson

Life Reflections Marlene Wilson transitioned peacefully to her new home with the Lord on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) in Salisbury, Maryland. Marlene was born on August 1, 1936 in Yonkers, New York. She was oldest child of the late Harvey and Stella Spivey-Hoover. After obtaining her education in North Carolina and graduating high school, Marlene attended one year of college. Affectionately known as Ms. Molly by many, she was united in marriage to the late Milton B. Wilson. Marlene worked at Rubberset Company, Mrs. Paul’s Kitchen and retired from Perdue, Inc. After retiring from Perdue, Marlene worked as a cook at Captains Gallery and The Cove restaurants in Crisfield, Maryland until The Cove closed. She later became a Foster Grandparent, teaching the future little ones with SHORE UP Inc.! She loved working with children, cooking, and planting flowers. A member of Charity Holiness Church in Crisfield, Maryland under the leadership of Bishop George S. Jackson, Marlene loved to praise the Lord. She will be always remembered for her strong spirit, love for God and family and her willingness to encourage and help others. Family left behind to cherish her life include: her son, Audwin L. Odom (Kim) of Wilmington, Delaware; daughters, Angela D. Odom of Crisfield, Maryland and Anita M. Cromwell of Norfolk, Virginia; stepson, Milton A. Wilson (Sharon) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; brother, Michael Hoover Thomas (Tia) of Bronx, New York; uncle, Benjamin Hoover (Helen) of Charlotte, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Aneisa and Andrea Cromwell and Amil and Audwin Odom II; two great grandchildren, Aniyah York and Tyrance Edwards and a host of stepchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her father, Harvey Plato Hoover; her mother Stella Spivey-Hoover; late husband, Milton Wilson; her sister, Maryanne Branch, and brother, Harvey Hoover, Jr. and her lovely aunts who were like sisters, Anna Christie and Pauline Coffey. Marlene was a very loving person. She would always show you love and make sure you had something to eat. Marlene will be missed but her Father said, “It’s time to come into the House.” She knew her curfew was approaching so she left a message for her family, friends and children. To My Family and Friends “I believe in Jesus Christ and that He died for us all, so we can live again.” To My Children “You all are the Greatest Gift and Blessing God gave to me. I love you. You are the LOVE OF MY LIFE!” The Family
