Marie J. Remy

Marie Josette Remy was born on June 16, 1958 by her mother, Jeanine Desorisers and her father, Pierre Saphart. She was born in Archaie, Corail. She received her education in Port Au Prince, Haiti. She had three beautiful kids named; Suzie Remy, Joanne Remy and Jonathan Remy. She was an enthusiastic person to be around. She loved helping out everyone no matter if they were in need or not. She worked as a nurse. She loved everyone equally. She worked very hard to take care of her kids. She gave all three of her kids everything that they needed no matter what it was or how much it cost. She just wanted to make sure that her kids were happy and they were in school getting their education. She would always tell her children a story with the message being not to take their education for granted, because some kids in other countries wish they had it like them, where they don’t have to pay. She wanted her children to get all the education they could to be successful in life. Marie loved the Lord and would also make sure she was in church for every service along with her children. She loved to shop, and especially enjoyed shopping for church. She would make sure her children looked terrific. She made sure the girls had beautiful dresses and the boys were in their best suits. They all attended Full Gospel Assembly of Ft. Lauderdale where Pastor Yvon George and Marie George were the Pastors, before moving to Delaware. She worked for the Lord. Anything the Pastor needed to be done she would do it without complaining. Marie was the best mother any child could ask for. Despite what she and the family went through she managed to get everything done. She never let anything discourage her. She was very strong and knew that the Lord was beside her. She always wanted to protect her children, telling them about God, the future and about becoming something in life. Her favorite saying was “Te ke leze” She always would say this if we were going somewhere, to school or just hanging out with friends especially. She loved making jokes. She especially loved cooking. Every time she would retrurn from work, she would cook for her children and place the meal on the table. The food would be smelling good, especially the Haitian food. It didn't matter if she was tired or not, she made sure we always had food and that we were ok. She leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Suzie Remy, Joanne Remy and Jonathan Remy; two uncles, Jerome Demosthene and Markentouch Alize; two aunts, Rosemarie Demosthene and Marie Ann Charles; and a host of nephews, nieces cousins and other family and friends. The Lord called Marie and said to her it was time for her to come and rest herself on October 2, 2012. We will miss you and always have you in our hearts. We love you and rest in peace. We will make you proud, Mommy and will remember everything you taught us.
