Magreelle Lacroix

time to be born: Magreelle was born on January 1, 1953 in Glacis Coureau, Haiti to the late Suzeline and Kingston LaCroix. time to grow: She completed her intermediary education at the Notre Dame du Carmel School in Haiti. Determined to provide a better life for her life, she came to the United States in September 1980. She had a stern determination to bring her entire family to the United States. time to work: Magreelle worked several jobs while she lived in Florida and Delaware to make her dream come true. In 1989, she moved to Seaford, Delaware which would become her permanent home. She retired from Perdue Farms in Georgetown after 14 years of service. She invested every penny she earned in improving the life of her family, church and community. time to play: She opened her home to parents in need of childcare and to almost anyone who was needy. She enjoyed being around children especially her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Even in sickness, she enjoyed being around her family more than anything and never considered leaving her home. Whenever you came through the front door it was to open arms, a friendly greeting and a sermon or church music being played on her radio; soon you would feel like family: that was Magreelle. Her backyard was a virtual garden with beans, tomatoes, spinach and mint growing everywhere. She always had time for a funny story, a joke, a laugh and a smile. time to serve: Magreelle was saved and more than anything she was a woman of God who loved the Lord. She mowed the lawn for her neighbors and recruited the assistance of her family to help serve her neighbors in need. She testified to the greatness of Jesus and she told everyone she met about the wondrous love of the Master. Magreelle was not only in the church but the church was in her. time to say farewell: Magreelle would never say good bye because good bye is forever. Instead, she took the time to say farewell to us all with the joyful hope that we will all see each other again on the other side. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Suzeline and Kingston LaCroix; two brothers, Julien and Lequer LaCroix and one sister, Asela Francella LaCroix. She leaves to cherish and honor her memory one brother, St. Louis LaCroix; seven children, Inavie LaCroix Joseph, Tiroro Aristil, Lisenie Aristil, Meprisia LaCroix-MoragneEl, Rozeline LaCroix, Lisa LaCroix and Shelley Dolphin; several nieces and nephews ( all LaCroix), Aline, Louisiane, Marie Angie, Amer, Kimberly, Tamarha, Renee, Shirley, Isnara, St Louis Jr., Anthony, Max, Jetro, DeShawn and Adikan; and a host of many more cousins, in-laws, grandchildren: (Keisha, Marlene, Annecie, Junior, Jeannie, Rhonda, Lucas, Mellisande, Esdras, Leina, Brisia, Meisia, Victoria, Simone, Junior and Donald and great-grandchild, Mikhi and friends.
