Lisa Annette Milbourne

Lisa’s Love Story Lisa Annette Milbourne made her grand entrance into the world on August 18, 1966. She was born to her mother, Wilda Mae Spence and her father Alfonso Milbourne. Her maternal grandparents are Betty Hearn Spence and Roland Spence (both deceased). Her paternal grandparent is Consola Milbourne (deceased). Lisa’s roots have always been in Princess Anne, MD, however, she lived in Wilmington, Delaware and attended New Castle County public schools and Somerset County public schools. She furthered her education, graduating with her CNA license #1 in her Class. This was an honor of which she was extremely proud. Lisa was the life of the party. Her laugh was contagious and Lord knows, she could get you told. Most of all, Lisa had a huge heart and much love for people, especially children. She would help you with your children and put those babies to sleep without any problem. She was a natural and all children loved her. Lisa was truly hilarious. Her favorite song was “Just Fine” by Mary J. Blige and she lived by those very words. Lisa’s first love was her first born, Tanesha Nicole Milbourne. Tanesha was her twin and still is; we treated Tanesha like a doll baby. Lisa was so in love with Tanesha. Lisa married Mr. Maurice Walker and soon met her second born, her boy, Maurice Antonio Milbourne. Maurice would be the one who would tell everybody what to do and Lisa would say, “Here comes Maurice, the boss.” Lisa traveled and lived all over the world. She didn’t think she would be able to have any more children, but God knew differently. While in Spain, here comes Lisa’s third born child, a girl, Monica Antoinette Walker. Monica and Lisa stuck together like glue; this was true until her untimely death. Lisa loved her children and took care of them. She had the same kind of love for all of her grandchildren and she had a special bond with each and every one of them from birth until her death. God healed Lisa from cancer, and Lisa accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Lisa’s Mom, Wilda Mae, was right there when she passed. Through disagreements, they still loved each other and you could see it when they would come together in harmony. Lisa loved her Mom and Wilda loved her daughter, even though Lisa would say “Mommy gets on my last nerve.” lol. Lisa and her brother Derek were inseparable. Lisa told Derek, “You write with your left hand, so you are “flickted”(afflicted), and since you can’t write with your right hand, I’ll be your right hand.” And so she was…Derek’s right hand forever. Lisa always looked after Derek, ironing his clothes and making sure he dressed and looked good. She talked to Pop Allen Jones frequently and called him her dad as well. Lisa lived with her Aunt and Uncle, Robert and Delores Milbourne and her Grandmom Betty periodically, along with her brother Derek Jones. Lisa and Sharon were the same age and they were each other’s first best friends. Sharon thought Lisa was the most beautiful person she had ever seen because of her beautiful hair and she was skinny and Sharon was fat. Lisa would say, “I wish somebody would call you fat, we will kill’em” and they would crack up laughing. Karen and Lisa had a special bond of love and they always wanted to be together with their children; she was Karen’s protector. Lisa, Sharon, Karen and Derek all grew up together and Grandmom Betty made sure that they could eat all of the fancy foods that she could cook. Grandmom Betty taught them how to eat proper and they loved it. They were raised to be Sisters and Brothers for life and to look out for one another. Lisa loved her sisters, Andrea Wheatley and Tina Johnson and made sure she was there to help raise their children. She loved her nieces and nephews dearly and they loved her. They always wanted to go stay with Aunt Lisa. She was the ultimate protector and BIG SISTER. Lisa eventually moved back to Princess Anne, MD and married Mr. Andrew Pittman; they raised their kids together and still remain friends. Lisa resided in Dover, Delaware with her daughter Monica. She helped Tanesha with raising her grandkids and traveled with Maurice helping him and his wife Julie with their kids. Lisa enjoyed life…She was the epitome of “LIVE, LAUGH and LOVE.” She vowed to take care of and protect whomever she loved. Lisa is survived by: her mother, Wilda Mae Spence; her father, Alfonso Milbourne (Connie); children, Tanesha Nicole Milbourne, Maurice Antonio Milbourne (Julie), Monica Antoinette Walker, Andrew Pittman, Jr. and Jamar Pittman; sisters, Andrea Wheatley (Frederick), Tina Johnson (George), Sharon Milbourne Washington (Al), Karen Milbourne Haggins (Cory) and Kanesha Nicole Milbourne; brothers, Derek Jones, Marc Jones (Teau), Anthony Tilghman and Allen Dortez Jones; aunts, Delores Thomas (Raymond) and Jeanette Milbourne; uncles, Ronald Spence (Wanda), Joseph Milbourne and great uncle, Oliver “Sonny” Hearn; nieces, Jasmine, Alexis, Nasjai, Kaila, Kamry, Neavaeh, Deona, Leeanah and Leah; nephews, Kyle, Tres, Marc, Jr., Jemir, Cory, Jr., Shamar and Lamonte’; grandchildren, Gha’mel Cottman Milbourne, Jha’Rael Cottman Milbourne, Tamira Edwards Milbourne, Mario Milbourne, Edwin Kane, Jr., Maria Milbourne, Tyshonna Hobson Milbourne, Santos Milbourne, Charles Seabrooks, Jr., Tay’On, Ta’nyrah, Ky-Juan, Ny-Asian, Xamiya and Tahj; godchildren, Antwon Walker and India Carter and special friend and cousin, Angie White.
