Linda J. Horsey

Linda Jane Horsey was born on Thursday, November 17, 1955, in Milford, Delaware to the late Lonnie and Ruth Horsey. She transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at home. Linda received her education in the Milford School District and graduated from James H. Groves High School, in Georgetown, Delaware. Linda worked at Visiting Nurses Association (VNA), as a Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA), for many years. She then worked at Bonaza and Wal-Mart, both in Milford, Delaware, as a baker. When she moved to Magnolia, Delaware, she transferred to the Camden Wal-Mart as a baker. She worked a total of 19 years at Wal-Mart. After leaving Wal-Mart, Linda worked at Precious Lambs Learning Center as a grandmother care provider. She loved the children and was always happy to be around them because they made her very happy. Linda was a great and devoted mother, known as “mommy” to her girls. To others, she was Linda, Chubby, Aunt Lindy, Mom-Mom, Grandmom and Ms. Linah. She loved her family and would do whatever she could do for them. She was devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved them very much and always showed it. Linda also loved to cook and bake, she did a wonderful job at it. Linda could go anywhere and she would and could talk to anyone. She was a very friendly person with a beautiful smile. Linda always loved to help prepare meals for the the homeless and hungry. It gave her joy. Linda joined Discipleship Ministries, Inc., in Lincoln, Delaware and rededicated her life back to the Lord Jesus Christ on September 19, 2016. In her last weeks, she would say, “I know that the Lord will take care of me,” and she believed just that. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Horsey and two brothers, Howard and Jeffery Horsey. Linda leaves to cherish her memories with, Tyrone Tucker; two daughters, Tynetta Mullen (Reginald) of Lincoln, DE and Lynnetta Horsey (Darrell) of Dover, DE; five grand children, Paul Horsey of Magnolia, DE, Da’Quian, Jawuan, Rayquian and Maniah Horsey and extended granddaughter, Stephania Lorcy all of Dover, DE; three great-grandchildren, Kimora, Da’Quian, Jr., and Danaya Horsey, all of Dover, DE; three sisters, Christine Hazzard (Reginald) of Lincoln, DE, Melanie Horsey of Milford, DE and Paula Horsey of Lincoln, DE; four brothers, Lonnie Horsey of Ellendale, DE, Roland, Brian Keith and William Lloyd (Michelle) Horsey of Lincoln, DE; one uncle, George Arnold Hood (Edith) of Seaford, DE; one aunt, Katie Mae Wilson of Springfield, MA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
