Isaiah 41:10 Gloria Jean Stanley Conway peacefully departed this life on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland. Born on December 13, 1944 to the late John B. and Hattie M. Winder Stanley, she spent her early years in Mardela Springs, Maryland, where she received her formal education in the public schools of Wicomico County. Gloria Jean was a loving person with a friendly personality. She enjoyed talking and spending time with family and friends. She truly had an eye for fashion and she loved jewelry and her pocketbooks. Gloria Jean was joined in marriage to Perry Conway. She was employed at Campbell Soup Company, Anchorage Healthcare Center, Perdue Inc. and ended her career with retirement from Peninsula General Hospital, where she worked as a Nursing Assistant. Gloria Jean was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and attended until her health began to fail . She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and friend whose devotion meant so much to all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: two children, Craig Jones and Lonnece Conway; two grandchildren, Brittany Jones and Shaneka Jones; two great granddaughters, Jashlyn and Jaelyn Johnson; two sisters, Florene Price of Salisbury, Maryland and Ingrid Stanley of San Domingo, Maryland; one brother, Robert Stanley of Salisbury, Maryland; two special friends, Tracy Mitchell and her advisor, Deacon Hilton Deshields and a host of nephews, nieces, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Gloria Jean was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Brown and two brothers, Jerry Stanley and Charles Tingle. Lovingly Submitted ~ The Family So
