Life Story for George Palmer, Jr. George Palmer Jr., the third son of the late George Palmer Sr. and Rosalee (Palmer) Kelley was born on April 17, 1957, and passed away peaceably on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at his home in Columbia, Maryland. George graduated from Washington Senior High School in Princess Anne, Maryland in 1975, and continued his education at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, Maryland where he received his B.S degree in Business Administration and was an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha (AɸA) Incorporated. George was employed at various agencies throughout the years such as E.I DuPont in Seaford, Delaware, Eastern Correctional Institute (ECI), Westover, Maryland and the Centre at Salisbury, Salisbury, Maryland throughout the years. George enjoyed car racing and socializing with friends, and family. The love he had for his family was truly like no other. He always kept up with his children, granddaughters and his grandson regardless of where he was or where he was headed. George cherished his mother, his children, and his grandchildren, they were his joy. Even though George did not belong to a church, he never strayed away from the teaching that he received when he was an active member of St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist church years ago. George leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Rosalee Kelley (Deer’s Head Hospital Center) in Salisbury, Maryland, two brothers Jerry Palmer (Dawn) and Anthony Palmer of Salisbury, Maryland, three children, Jayson Palmer (Amber) of Temple Hills, Maryland, Michael Palmer, of Eden, Maryland, and Sherrie Palmer Peterson (Clifford), of Clarksville, Tennessee; two step-sons, Shae Waters (Angel) of Salisbury, Maryland, Deval Hodge (Cynthia) of Huntsville, Alabama, granddaughters, Jasmine Palmer, Princess Anne, Maryland, Jaylah, Jada, Jaybriah, Jayniah, Palmer, Salisbury, Maryland, Myra, Shaniyah and Ma’Kayla, Peterson, Clarksville, Tennessee, Jayson Palmer, Jr., Temples Hill, Maryland, ex-wife Diane Palmer, Salisbury, Maryland, a very special aunt, Dorothy Barkley, Eden, Maryland, a special friend Alice Collins of Venton, Maryland whom he looked to as a second mother, as well as a host of aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his father, George Palmer Sr., his step-father, James Kelly, Sr., two brothers, James Kelley Jr. and Gary Kelley, his grandfather Marshall Barkley and his grandmother, Annie Barkley.
