Emma Jane Crippen

Emma Jane Crippen, at the age of eighty (80), passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Tidal Health Hospital in Salisbury, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Howard Johnson and Edna Barnes, born on January 12, 1941 in Snow Hill, Maryland. Emma was a devoted member of New Macedonia Baptist Church in Pocomoke City, Maryland. There she served faithfully as a member of the choir and culinary ministry working in the kitchen. She enjoyed her church family. At an early age, Emma began working various jobs. For several years, she was employed by Golden Pride in Stockton, Maryland as well as Buddy Boys poultry plant. She also worked for Shore Up, Incorporated driving the school bus, transporting children to and from school. Emma really enjoyed being with the children. She also performed domestic work and was never without a job until her health began to fail her. One of her greatest joys was going to the Pocomoke City Fire Hall for their annual Christmas Celebration. She thoroughly enjoy this event and looked forward to it each year as long as her health allowed her to attend. Emma enjoyed cooking and eating. If she knew you were in need of something or if you were hungry, she was always there to help. And No One, absolutely No One went hungry around her. She loved her family and friends and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Emma leaves to cherish precious memories: her children, Emma Catherine Moore, Robert Baines and Teresa Civil; one brother, Eugene Wilson; grandchildren, Donald Milbourne, Jr. (Michelle White) of Chicago Tonya Harmon, Tina Taylor, Julia Baines, Andre Baines, Daquan Hampton and Delroy “Mannie” Baines, Jr.; great grandchildren, Amber Lewis, Monique Lewis, Joshua White, Jacob White, Desiniesha Roberts, Jada Schoolfield, Jamal Taylor, Ashley Taylor, Eugenia Wilson, Derrick Marshall, Kezia Pruitt, Ky’reen Matthews, Emery and Emoni Ware and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother George Barnes, two sisters, Mable Fields and Sarah Sheppard and one son, Delroy Baines, Sr. LOVINGLY SUBMITTED ~ THE FAMILY
