Earl Marsh Jr.

Earl Marsh, Sr., was born in Georgian, Alabama, to Leona Knight Marsh & Columbus Marsh, on March 11, 1944. Earl attended school in Georgian, Alabama. He gave his life to Christ at an early age. He served as an usher in church. Earl worked on the farm most of his young adult life and moved to Lakewood, New Jersey in 1985, where he met the love of his life, Mae E. Wallace. They joined hands together and became one. Earl started his own business as a handy man in construction and landscaping. He moved the family to Dover, Delaware, where he remained until God called him home. Earl was a good husband, great father & grandfather. He loved his family and was a good provider for his family. He loved playing with the kids especially playing ball with the boys. Earl enjoyed making breakfast for his wife and family and his specialty was making cheese toast. Earl enjoyed riding his lawnmower and taking care of his neighbors lawns, until his health began to fail in 2004. In 2011 he was diagnosed with emphysema, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (C.O.P.D.) and bronchitis. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Willie Marsh, Robert Marsh, Eddie Lee Marsh, and Freddie Lee Marsh; stepdaughter, Mary D. Wallace; and stepson, Anthony J. Wallace. Earl leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mae Marsh; four sons, Earl Marsh, Jr., and his wife, Jennifer, of Prattville, AL, Earl M. Marsh, and his wife, Lanette, of Dover, DE, Kenosha Daniels of Prattville, AL, and Courtney Moody of Dover, DE; two daughters, Gwendolyn S. Green-Surman, and her husband Daniel and Tara S. Gillison, all of Dover, DE; one daughter-in-law, Theresa Hall; one sister, Catherine Facet of Toms River, NJ; 17 grandchildren, Antuan Joyner, Melvin Joyner, and Samuel Joyner of Orlando, FL, Tyshawn Downcy-Wallace, of Asbury Park, NJ, Terrance Wallace, Jamaar Banks, Jayron Marsh, Tayron Marsh, Heaven N. S. Wright, Rarshawn Marsh, Aamonie Mae Wallace, Aryanna Marsh, Davion Wallace, Dashawn Marsh, Timear Marsh and Semajah Green-Surmnan, all of Dover DE; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and relatives.
