Deacon Michael Carey Campbell

The Beginning Michael C. Campbell was the born on December 6, 1957 in Fort Pierce Florida. He peacefully transitioned on Sunday March 26, 2023 at Coastal Hospice by the Lake surrounded by his loving family and friends. Youngest son born to the late Gussie Mae & Booker T. Campbell, Mike was one of four children. He received his education at Lincoln Park Academy in the St. Lucie County. As a driver at Campbell Field Workers, a family owned company in Fort Pierce, FL, Mike drove his co-workers to and from their place of employment. After relocating to Salisbury, MD in 1996, he began employment with Salisbury Steel, Warwick Enterprises, and Perdue Farms. In 2000 he was blessed to start his own trucking company, “Campbell Trucking” where he continued driving until his retirement in 2022. The Deacon Deacon Campbell surrendered to the call of Jesus Christ in 1997 at Greater Higher Hope Temple Church in Salisbury, Maryland under the leadership of the late Suffragan Bishop Emanuel C. Baker. He was never ashamed to tell of where the Lord had brought him from, and felt compelled to do so as a witness to the young men of the church. Deacon Campbell had a servants heart for the people of God. He served as the church van driver, praise and worship team member, and armor bearer to the late Suffragan Bishop Emanuel Baker. He was also a Sunday school teacher for many years, a ministry in which he took the most pride. Wherever there was a need he was always willing to fill it without hesitation. Deacon Mike, affectionately called by many who knew him, was an ordained Deacon in 2003 at Greater Higher Hope Temple under the late Suffragan Bishop Emanuel C. Baker. He currently served under the leadership of Pastor Albert Todd. Recognized for his dedication, he received the Men Of Integrity Presidential award in 2017 & 2019. Family Life On September 6, 1997, he was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life Davina Campbell. They made their home in Mardela Springs, Maryland for 10 years before relocating to Salisbury, Maryland. Their union of 25 years was filled with unconditional love, laughter, dedication, and sacrifice. They were the proud parents of four children, Fulisha Campbell, Michael Bratten, Tiffanie Doane, and Cameren Campbell. Although he endured many hurdles with health, his life was a testimony to the awesome God he served. Mike was 65 years young and through God's perfect plan recovered from stomach, pancreas, and liver cancer; as well as back surgery, a heart attack, and a horrific tractor trailer accident that nearly claimed his life in 2022. His life was a testimony of God's grace, love and perseverance. He never let anything get in the way of time with his family. Vacations were the highlight of every year especially since he loved to be surrounded by love, laughter, and plenty of fun in the sun. Mike is survived by his wife, Davina Campbell of Salisbury, Maryland. Four children: Fulisha Campbell of Tampa Florida, Michael (Donna) Batten of York, Pennsy lvania, Tiffanie Doane (Jonothan) of Salisbury, Maryland, and Cameren Campbell of Vincenza, Italy. Six grandchildren: Khali q Thomas, Je'zyiah, A'Mya, Ali, Amelia and Giavonna Bratten. F ive godchildren: Tammy Johnson, Kasie Turner, Makell Cook, Frances Jackson & Daja Anderson. Two special nephews who he considered his sons Brandon Collins and Aaron Johnson. Also one special niece Kasey Washington.
