Chineta A. Boyd

Fondly known as “Bay Bay” to those closest to her, Chineta Ann Boyd entered this earthly realm on May 16, 1975 to Henry Jr. Boyd and Lena Mae Reed Boyd. On March 23, 2015, she was surrounded by her family and friends when this strong woman of faith peacefully transcended beyond this earthly home. Chineta received her education in the public schools of Kent and Sussex County. She was baptized on June 1, 2014 at Kent General Hospital. She enjoyed dancing, being around her family, sitting in the kitchen while her “dad” cooked so she could eat and she loved to eat. She loved strawberries so much that her dad created her very own strawberry patch. Some of her special foods were corn-on-the-cob, macaroni and cheese, banana pudding and seafood, just to name a few. Bay Bay was an outgoing person. Even though she was sick herself, she stayed strong for her son, Lamareon, She enjoyed her job at Metro as a cashier for 10 years. Chineta is survived by her mother, Lena Mae Boyd; father and step-mother, Henry Jr. Boyd (Karen) of Harrington, DE; three children, Deanna, LaQwanda and Lamareon Boyd of Milford, DE; two grandchildren, her twins, Ca’Layah and Ci’Nayah Boyd of Milford, DE; her companion, Lilton Stevens and his mother, Annette Stevens of Greenwood, DE; two brothers, Richard Boyd of Greenwood, DE and Antwine Duffy (Catona) of North Carolina; one sister, Nicole Duffy of Felton, DE; six aunts, Teresa Collick of Laurel, DE, Pauline Berlus of Lincoln, DE, Adaline Diaz (Frank) of Frederica, DE, Alice Chambers of Lincoln, DE, Evelyn Reed of Greenwood, DE and Shirley Boyd of Halifax, VA; four uncles, Lenwood Boyd of Milford, DE, Harry Lee Chambers (Gloria) of Washington, DC, Ralph Reed (Thelma) of Seaford, DE and Randolph Reed of Lincoln, DE; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind special people in her life: Vicky, Linda, Tyrah, Rahmeen, Kenny, Hermiline, Nancy, Bobby, Katrina and Latasha.
