Obituary “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:7 Anna Isabelle Holland quietly and peacefully passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020 at Delmar Nursing Home in Delmar, Delaware. Born on March 23, 19332, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Edith Hyland. She was also the widow of the late Arthur Holland, with whom she raised five (5) girls. Isabelle received her early education at Owens Corner Elementary School in Columbia, Delaware, Paul Laurence Dunbar Junior High in Laure, Delaware. Anna was affectionately called “Mom”, “Isabelle” or “Mom-Mom” by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was commonly known by all as “Isabelle” or “Bell” and was committed to family and helping others. Isabelle began her worked at Marvel Packing Company in Hebron, Maryland and Perdue Processing Plant in Salisbury, Maryland. Later she began working as a custodian at Delmar Elementary School in Delmar, Maryland, from where she retired. Isabelle was a faithful member of Mount Nebo United Methodist Church in Columbia, Delaware, where she was a member of the Senior Choir, United Methodist Women, Car Show Committee, Mother of Mt. Nebo Youth Choir and Soup Kitchen. She loved her church. Those who shared the joy of life with Isabelle and remain to cherish her memories include: five daughters, Jean Holland of Millsboro, Delaware, Sylvia Hyland, Gloria Gaines, Brenda Downing and Joan Hayman, all of Delmar, Delaware; two sisters, Joyce Kelley (David) of Dagsboro, Delaware and Irene Brown of Delmar, Delaware; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Consdevella Dixson of Smyrna, Delaware and Anna Mae Hyland of Wilmington, Delaware; two aunts, Delores Hyland of Laurel, Delaware and Elizabeth Carter of Delmar, Maryland and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and acquaintances. Preceding her in death were three brothers, Lester “Bootsy” Hyland, Ralph “Teddy” Holland and William “Billy Boy” Holland and two grandchildren, Leroy Holland and Brian Hayman.
