Obituary Agatha Ida Best May 27, 1950 – July 31, 2021 Agatha Ida Best was born on May 27, 1950 in Berlin, MD to Leon Purnell Senior and Mary Francis Purnell. As a young girl, she attended and graduated from Stephen Decatur High School. After graduation, she later attended Salisbury Beauty Academy and earned a degree in Cosmetology. In Delaware, she met and married the late Robert M. Best Sr. She then had 4 children. As a bold and courageous warrior, she would eventually break barriers and explore her entrepreneur spirit. Her multifaceted talent included, however, not limited to becoming a pillar of the community, business owner, philanthropist, counselor and mostly important a devoted former First Lady to the late Prophet Robert M. Best Sr. She then proudly served as the Chief Mother of Life Changing Worship Center under the leadership of Prophet Robert M. Best Jr. She also served in the ministry as a prophet to many. Her love for writing and ministry led to a series of stage productions, to name a few “Love Brought Me Back”, “Church Hurt” and “I Thought I Was On My Way to Heaven, Until I Woke Up In Hell”. Agatha (Gate) is predeceased by her husband of 24 years, Prophet Robert M. Best Sr. She leaves to cherish memories to her mother, Mary Francis Purnell and father, Leon Purnell Sr. Her sister and brothers, Brenda Moore (Clifford), Leon Purnell Jr. (Oneida). Her children, Kimberly Higginbottom (Doane), Hope Best, Prophet Robert M. Best Jr. (Kesha) and Tajuana (Elton). Her grandchildren, Brennan Gross, Devon Best, Danielle Yarborough, Onyx Best, Jayonna Best, Kila Higginbottom, Elijah Best, Zion Best, and Mykah Rain Palmer Best. Her great grandchildren, Journei Yarborough and Jewel Yarborough. She also leaves behind, her endeared sons, Scooter, Tony, Wil, and Kevin, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends “WHAT WE HAVE ENJOYED, WE CAN NEVER LOSE. ALL THAT WE LOVE DEEPLY BECOMES A PART OF US.” SORROWFULLY SUBMITTED ~ THE FAMILY
