Aaron Maurice Tate

Aaron Maurice Tate was born on August 25, 1980 in Salisbury, Maryland to his parents Tony and Georgette Tate. He departed this life on Saturday, November 29, 2014. Aaron received his education in the public school system of Wicomico County, Maryland and earned his GED in 2008. On May 14, 2013 he married Tomeka Sykes. He was employed by Maryland State Highway Administration Landscaping Roads Division. “Big Tate”, as he was affectionately known, loved life. He was known for his bright smile. He always had an encouraging word for those in hard times. Aaron had a gift for making people laugh. He always made time to stop and shake hands with people he knew. If you had a problem, he had time to listen. Aaron had the ability to make life long friends. He had a special crew. If you saw Donte Jones (D Jones), Jamaal King (Mar), Toriano Parker (TP), Raymond Farrare (Raymo), Maurice Foreman (Reece), Edward Wallop (E), and Chaundell Mills (Chaun), BIG Tate was never far behind. Aaron especially loved his family. He enjoyed running errands for his Mom-Mom, or cleaning the yard for his Na Na. The joy of his life was to spend time with his nephew Joel. Aaron shared a special bond with his brother, and loved reliving lines and episodes from the TV show Martin with his sister. His father was his hero and his mother was the Queen of his Heart. Aaron leaves to honor his memories: his parents Tony and Georgette Tate; his wife Tomeka Sykes-Tate, and his sister, Georgia Tate, all of Salisbury Maryland; one brother Tony Tate Jr. and sister in love NaTasha Tate of Tampa Florida; his paternal grandmother Armilla Tate and maternal grandparents, George and Mary Lee Smith, all of Salisbury, Maryland; five stepchildren; one nephew; a crew of special cousins whom he loved dearly; his Godfather James Shepherd and a special couple who were like parents to him, Doug and Winnie King. Aaron also had a special love and relationship with Tyarya Sykes and also had a special friendship with Taysha and her daughter DiNijah Maddox and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather George Tate, one of his favorite aunts, Angela Tate-Hitch and his Godmother Sarah Shepherd. Lovingly Submitted, The Tate Family
