Walter Henry Winston Sr.

November 16, 1946 - April 27, 2022

The Obituary Walter Henry Winston, Sr., 75, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Walter or “Winston” as he was affectionately known was born November 16, 1946, to the late Mary Ann Winston Wilson and Norman Henry Warner, Sr. Walter attended the public schools of Talbot County. He served in the United States Army which included time in Vietnam. While in the miliary he met and married his lovely wife, Theresa, they have been married for 52 years. Walter was employed as Head Custodian for Talbot County Public Schools and Buildings and Grounds Manager for the Academy Art Museum located in Easton, MD. He retired in 2001 and 2012 respectively after being employed for 43 years. “Winston” loved carpentry. Many called on him to help build and fix many things. He loved to go fishing and crabbing. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joanne Winston Tabron (Preston, MD), brothers Ralph Warner (Trappe, MD) and Mark Warner (Cambridge, MD). He leaves to mourn his memory, his wife Theresa Winston, three daughters Savannah Winston, Aretha Limberry and Doretha Limberry, two sons Walter Winston, Jr. (Patricia) and Corry Winston, five sisters Doris Tilghman (Charles), Dorothy Slaughter (Melvin), Laura Mitchell, Shirley Warner (Steve), Mable Johnson (Kevin), four brothers David Warner (Betty), Norman Warner, Jr. (Sharon), Glenn Warner and Daniel Warner, nine grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
