VIRGINIA’S LIFE Virginia Mae Stanford, a resident of St. Michaels, Maryland, departed this life January 19, 2022 at Peak Health Care at the Pines in Easton, Maryland. She was born on June 6, 1928 in Caroline County, Maryland. She was ninety-three (93) years old and the daughter of the late Eleanor and Norman Sharp. Virginia attended public schools in Talbot County. She was self-employed with her husband on the boat as a waterman. She also worked in the factories and then she became a house wife. Virginia also raised her niece, Angelic Holly of St. Michaels, Maryland, step daughter, Cherry Gibson of Cambridge, Maryland and her granddaughter, Nicole Gibson Ayers of St. Michaels, Maryland . Virginia enjoyed spending time with family and a special friend, Earl Waller. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, Norman and Eleanor Sharp, were her husband, William Stanford, sister, Shirley Holley and brothers, Alexander Sharp, Sr. and William Sharp. Surviving to cherish precious memories are: two nieces, Arlene Holley Thomas (Edgar) and Angelic Holley, both of St. Michaels; nephews, George Holley (Bernice) of Cordova, Maryland, Curtis Holley (Brigitte) of Easton, Maryland and Robert Holley of St. Michaels, Maryland and a host of family and friends.
