Vernon Di'Anglo Brown Sr.

Life’s journey for Vernon Di’Anglo Brown, Sr. began on March 28, 1965 in Salisbury, MD. He was the sixth child born to the late Hollis R. Sr. and Grace E. Stanley Brown. On Wednesday August 5, 2020, God saw that you were getting weary and decided that your work here on earth was done, so He decided to take you to His heavenly home. Vernon passed away peacefully at home at the age of fifty-five (55) in Salisbury, MD. He grew up and lived in San Domingo, MD the majority of his life, later moving to Salisbury, MD. He received his elementary and high school education in the Wicomico County school system, graduating from Mardela High School in 1983. After graduating high school, he held several different jobs until his decision to join the military. He remained active for four years and continued being active with the Army Reserves. During his military career, he was deployed to Saudi Arabia. His real passion was being a truck driver, (he wanted to be like his dad). He did that for many years and was currently driving for W. F. Stewart Trucking. When he wasn’t driving, he also worked alongside his brother in his business. He was a hard worker and a wonderful supporter to his family and friends. On August 16, 2013, Vernon was united in Holy Matrimony to Lori Sharrieff Smith. Although they never had any children of their own, he did have one son. He also had a loving father- and mother-in-law who cherished him like a son, always being there for them if they needed him. He always wanted to make you laugh and put a smile on your face. His spirit and sense of humor will be missed by all whom he touched. He wouldn’t want us to worry or be sad. He would want everyone to honor his memory by living and loving life and each other to the fullest. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents (Hollis and Grace Brown) and sister, (Selina Brown). He leaves behind to celebrate his life: his wife, Lori Sharrieff Smith-Brown of Salisbury, MD; one son, Vernon D. Brown, Jr. (Stacey) of Salisbury, MD; one grandson, Suave Jones of Salisbury, MD; one granddaughter, Leah Grace Brown of Salisbury, MD; three brothers, Hollis Brown, Jr. (Sharon) of Augusta, GA, Jerome Brown (Wendi) of Delmar, MD and Keith Brown (Patricia) of Hebron, MD; one sister, Cheryl Brown (Ronnie) of Salisbury, MD; one aunt, Esther Brown of Upper Marlboro, MD; father- and mother-in-law, Ira and Tisharra Smith of San Domingo, MD; three brothers-in-law, Elijah Smith (Maria) of Florida, Brian Daniels (Shelly) of Salisbury, MD and Ishmael Smith (Allison) of Baltimore, MD; one goddaughter, Taraji Davis of San Domingo, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
