Ted’s Obituary Ted Davis III, affectionately known as Ritchie or Rich, was born on April 28, 1994 to Ted Davis, Jr. and Barbara Bishop Davis. Rich said farewell for eternal rest on June 24, 2022 in Princess Anne, Maryland. Rich was educated in the Worcester County public school system, graduating from Pocomoke High School in 2012. He was employed by Tyson Foods and Perdue Farms. He grew up attending St. Mark United Methodist Church in New Church, Virginia. There Rich was a member of the youth choir and the choir drummer. He enjoyed football and cooking. Rich loved driving and had aspirations of becoming a truck driver. He was a loyal friend who cherished friendships. Rich had a unwavering love and devotion to family. One of Rich’s favorite sayings was, “This is just a minor setback, getting ready for a major comeback.” Rich leaves to cherish unforgettable, loving memories: his parents, Ted, Jr. and Barbara Davis of Pocomoke, Maryland; one son, Jhace Davis, of Princess Anne, Maryland; two sisters, Teddra Downing (Victor, Jr.) of Silver Spring, Maryland and Tracie Batts of Norfolk, Virginia; his godmother, Wendy Bishop Poole of Mappsville, Virginia; two aunts, Jacqueline (Joseph) Dorsey, and Vanessa (Larry) Handy of Pocomoke City, Maryland; two uncles, Birdell Bishop, Jr. and Jimmy Bishop, both of New Church, Virginia; three great aunts, Margie Henderson of New Church, Virginia, Gloria Davis of Smithfield, Virginia and Annie Byrd of Snow Hill, Maryland; three great uncle, Edward Davis of Surry, Virginia, Leroy and Lawrence Byrd, both of Philadelphia, PA. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rich was preceded in death by Ted, Sr. and Hattie Davis (paternal grandparents) and Birdell, Sr. and Rose Bishop (maternal grandparents) as well as Bernice, Elisa, Medis, Audrey and Hattie (paternal aunts).
