Santos Ruiz Sanchez

April 15, 1933 - March 6, 2022

His Life Santos Ruiz Sanchez, at the age of eighty-eight (88), passed away on March 6, 2022 at his residence in Delmar, Delaware. Santos was born on April 15, 1933 in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico. He moved to the United States in 1955. Santos met his wife, Dora Lee in 1956 and they started a family. Together they had four children: Barbara Jean, Marshall Santel, Angela and Andrea. Santos moved his family to Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1965 where he was employed at various jobs including Hertz Corporation at Newark Liberty Airport, Newark, New Jersey. Santos worked at Hertz Corporation for twenty-six (26) years until he retired in 1998. After his retirement, Santos and Dora Lee moved back to Delmar, Delaware. Santos’ interests included listening to baseball on the radio, (Go METS!!!), watching westerns, and spending time with his family. He also had a great love for his pets, Bonnie and Tucco. Santos was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Lee Sanchez and daughter Angela Vazquez. He leaves to mourn their loss: Barbara Jean Sanchez, his daughter; Marshall Santel Sanchez (Diane), his son; Andrea Mizzelle (Gregory, Sr.), his daughter; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Santos is also survived by three siblings: Roberto Sanchez (Socorro), Luz Rivera, and Iris Sanchez.; sister-in-law, Cora Jones (Elder Theodore); brother-in-law, Randolph Deshields and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
