The Life and Legacy of Patrice Evonne Trader “Patty” Patrice Evonne Trader, also known as Patty, Pat Pat, and to her close friends, Pattycake, was a resident of Salisbury, Maryland. At the age of fifty (50), she was called home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2022. Born to Patrick Hearn of Millsboro, Delaware and the late Dale Trader, she was raised by her grandmother, Beulah Hutt of Salisbury, Maryland. Patty was a 1988 graduate of Wicomico High School in Salisbury, Maryland. She held numerous jobs in the healthcare field, starting her nursing career with Genesis in the late 1990’s. Working her way through various nursing facilities, she ended up at Chesapeake Manor Assisted Living in Willards, Maryland as a full-time head med tech for the past eight years. She also held employment at Thomas and Thomas as a nurse aide. Patty was definitely known for her big heart and generous spirit. She would do anything for the elderly and her community. She loved cooking, singing and dancing. Her top favorite songs were “PYT” by Michael Jackson and “I’m Fine” by Mary J. Blige. Patty had a smile that would light up the room. She lived to the fullest by enjoying the simple pleasures in life—playing spades, hosting and attending cookouts and being with friends and family. Patty was very talented with drawings and you could not tell her anything about her favorite team, The Philadelphia Eagles. In addition to her grandmother and father, she leaves to cherish loving memories: her children, Isaiah Smith of North Carolina and John Smith of Salisbury, Maryland; best friend in high school, sweetheart John Smith-El of Salisbury, Maryland; two goddaughters, Ebonie Andrews of Georgia and Danielle McDaniel of Salisbury, Maryland; three godsons, LS Andrews III, of Fruitland, Maryland, Ryan Federman of Nottingham, Maryland and Antonio Williams of Waldorf, Maryland; two aunts, Vanessa Robinson and Alice (Dwight) Thomas, both of Salisbury, Maryland; four uncles, James (Sandy) Downing o Fruitland, Maryland, Branson (Anita) Hearn of Salisbury, Maryland, Berry (Barbara) Hearn of Crisfield, Maryland and Bruce Hearn (Tippy) of Salisbury, Maryland; two sisters, Alicia Hearn of Lewis, Delaware and Krista Hearn of Millsboro, Delaware; one god-sister, Kathleen Mason of Salisbury, Maryland; closest cousin, Vanessa “Van” Jones and closest friend, Magen Banks, both of Salisbury, Maryland and a host of cousins, nieces and friends. In addition to her mother, Patty was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Adell Downing, Walter Garrison, Clarence Hutt and Jimmy Hearn. SUBMITTED WITH LOVE ~ THE FAMILY
