Norris Rhyanes Jr.

April 5, 1957 - January 25, 2022

Norris Rhyanes, Jr., passed at the age of 65. He was born on April 5, 1957. In his life, he was an athlete, a U.S. Army veteran, a God-fearing man and most importantly, and a father to his two daughters, Haley Rhyanes and Brianna Rhyanes. Haley resides in Kent County and Brianna has followed Norris’s footsteps and is currently serving in the US Army. Norris was an honest and loving man who able to put a smile on anyone’s face. His close brothers and sisters in Christ will always have him in memory as he’s joined his mother, father and other family members in Heaven. “My daddy’s passing is something I wasn’t expecting for years to come. We had made plans for him coming to visit me and if I was stationed in Europe, him coming there as well. My dad was a history nerd. Combined with his love for Christ, learning the paths of Biblical history combined with social, cultural and world history, conversations were never boring and always taught me something new about how my dad saw the world. He always shared his love for Christ to people and his favorite book was the Bible. His death breaks my heart and knowing the life events he’ll be physically absent for in my life crushes my spirit. Knowing my dad is in Heaven and with me in spirit brings me comfort and keeps me strong. I love you, Dad.” - Brianna Rhyanes
