Naomi Almeda Quail

February 22, 1937 - February 13, 2022

Naomi A. Quail, of Felton, Delaware, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Bayhealth Medical Center in Milford, Delaware. She was born February 22, 1937, in Viola, Delaware to the late Margaret Loper-King and Theodore Quail. She was 84 years old. Naomi was employed in the production industry for many years before she became disabled. She received her education at Viola School and William W. M. Henry Comprehensive High School. Naomi enjoyed listening to her oldie’s music and gospel. She also enjoyed having card games at her house. Special friends and family would gather for a good time, laughs and good food. When her health started to take a toll on her, she did not get out of the house as much as she would like, but she loved her special visits from her daughter, Ronnita. If she could not reach her, you better believe she would be calling both phones until she picked up. She would even call her granddaughter, Latashia to see if she talked to her mom. Naomi had a special love for her children and grandchildren. Naomi was very out spoken and sometimes she could be a little stubborn. However, she was loving and strong. She was always willing to help others if she could. In addition to her parents, Margaret Loper-King and Theodore Quail, Naomi was preceded in death by her son, Michael Quail; brother, Robert Loper; grandmother Millie Loper; aunts, Almeda Hawkins, Jeanette Sinkfield (James), Doris Campbell (Floyd); Aunt Sadie and Uncle Bob; uncles James (Alice) and John Loper; cousins Jeanette Loper, Denise Loper-Jackson and Alfred Maull; and special friend, Philip Nutter. Naomi leaves to cherish her memories and love, her daughter, Ronnita Quail, Magnolia, DE; son, Jimmy Quail, Felton, DE; sister-in-law, Helen Loper, Felton, DE; grandchildren, Latashia Quail-Mapp (Vandyke), Dover, DE, Nila Quail, Smyrna, DE, JaQi Quail,, Texas, Kiara Quail, Frederica, De, and Donnell Cuffee, Dover, DE; great grandchildren, Taniyah Quail-Marker, Tairen Quail-Marker, Tieje Mapp, Ta’nara Mapp, Dover, DE, Skylar Hall and Sidra Fox, Smyrna, DE; goddaughter, Emily Poteat; and host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
