God’s Awesome Warrior, Leola Mae Tingle 71, was born September 5, 1950, in Federalsburg, Maryland, to Audrey B. Batson and Robert L. Tingle. She departed this life on February 20, 2022, at her residence in Bridgeville, Delaware, surrounded by family. Leola attended school in the Seaford School District and graduated from James Groves Adult High School in 1989. Leola was employed by NCR (National Cash Register) Inc. in Millsboro, Delaware. She was later employed by Nanticoke Memorial Hospital (TidalHealth) for 42 years. Leola loved the Lord, her family, listening to Gospel Music and eating out with her sisters. Leola was preceded in death by her parents, Audrey B. Batson and Robert L. Tingle; a grandson, DeAndre Tingle; two sisters, Phyllis Batson and Deborrah DeShields; and two brothers, Timothy DeShields and Robert Batson. Leola leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Darrell Tingle (Rhondalin) of Seaford, DE and Robert Tingle of Bridgeville, DE; two daughters, Carla Tingle of Seaford, DE and Dawn Tingle of Bridgeville, DE; sisters, Rev. Dr. Rebecca “Margie” Batson of Dover, DE; Barbara Jones of Laurel, DE; Pandora Cannon of Boston, MA and Reba West (Chuck) of Seaford, DE; brothers, Alfred Batson of Lincoln, DE, William Batson and Harold Batson of Seaford, DE; a sister-in-law, Jennifer DeShields of Seaford, DE; grandchildren, Danielle Hayes of Seaford, DE, Taylor Devlin (Jerran) of Columbia, SC, Kayla Turlington of Dover, DE, Marcus Wright and Kyle Tingle of Seaford, DE; great-grandchildren, Kabreah Pinder, Kallen Hayes, and Kadyn Hayes of Seaford, DE; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
