Lawrence Isaac Spady

Apostle Lawrence Isaac Spady, the son of the late Paul R. Spady and Fannie Lee Spady, was born in Cheriton, Virginia, on April 29, 1935, and departed this life on January 28, 2022. He received his education at William C. Jason Comprehensive High School, in Georgetown, Delaware. Apostle Lawrence I. Spady served in the United States Army, serving at duty stations state-side and in Europe. He received several accommodations for his service. Apostle Spady endeavored to serve the community, spreading the word of God to all who would receive it throughout the region. In addition to his parents, Apostle Spady was preceded in death by three sisters, Gertrude Spady, Mary Tucker (Lee) and Ella Hood (Lester); daughter, Priscilla Whaley-Saez (Eduardo, Sr.) and a granddaughter, Mya Spady. His legacy will continue through the large family he leaves behind, including his sister, Grace Floyd (Jackie) of Ellendale, DE; children, Roberta Ward (Terrance) of Queens, NY, Lawrence J. Spady (Adrienne) of York, PA, Marvin D. Spady (Jennifer) of Milford, DE, David M. Spady (Taisha Benjamin-Spady) of Long Island, NY, Andrea L. Sivels (Keith, Sr.) of Lincoln, DE, Deborah A. Spady of Conyers, GA, Isaac Whaley (Titania) of Lincoln, DE and Aaron Spady of Harbeson, DE; 31 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all he encountered.
