James Edward Griffin Jr.

March 19, 1956 - April 28, 2022

James Edward Griffin, Jr. at the age of sixty-six (66) went home to be with the Lord on Thursday April 28, 2022 at the Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. He was born on March 19, 1956 to the late James Edward Griffin, Sr. and Mary E. Griffin. He was known as “Junior”, Big Boy”, “Griff” and Mary and Essie’s “Babyboy” by his mom and grandmother. James received his education in the Queen Anne’s county public schools. He graduated with the class of 1974. He was employed as a truck driver at Friels PM Brooks for many years and then with Callahan Family Farms with whom he had a bond and a friendship. He loved to keep busy and remained devoted to his work. James gave his life to Christ at Bethel AME Church in Centreville, Maryland. James, Jr. will be remembered for his smile, laughter, jokes and care and concern for his family. He was known for being a friend to many. Precious memories will always be cherished by: Mrs. Lillian Brown who was like a mother; sisters, Clara, Lorraine, Mary, Grace, Emma Mae and Nadine; brothers, Charles (Charlie Buck) and Henry; two aunts, Evalena Burke and Blanche Walker; godmother, Ann Beshere, special cousins Elaine Warrick and the Griffin - Gould family, Joan Lewis (Bunny), Debbie, and the Burke family; his Bethel Church family; devoted nieces, Cheryl and Angie and devoted nephew, Cory special cousin Debbie Burke and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by grandmother Estelle Rozer and Aunt (Mom Mom) Ellen Griffin. SUBMITTED WITH LOVE ~ THE FAMILY
