Ivan Speppard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ivan Antoine Sheppard peacefully departed this life Friday, June 24, 2022. He was born to Sharon Sheppard and the late Ivory Sheppard Sr. on March 19, 1980, in Salisbury, MD. He was educated in the Wicomico County School system in Salisbury, MD. Ivan had a desire and passion for music where he taught himself to produce and engineer. He took his passion further and attended Full Sail University to help master his craft. In turn, he taught his son, nephew, and godson what he learned on his journey. Ivan was one everyone would call on when they needed any of their electronic devices worked on and he has done it with pride. He even worked for 90.3 WDIH assisting with any of their editing needs. It was never a time that family and friends alike called on him to fix a device that he said no. Affectionately known as Tione to his family and Big 8 to his peers had the vision, determination, and drive. He showed undying loyalty and love to his family and friends. Ivan was known to have a big heart and was rarely seen without a smile even during his most trying times. He was a protector who had great love and compassion for his loved ones. He personified what strength and courage were to persevere. In addition to his mother Sharon Sheppard, he leaves to cherish fine memories: A son Micah Sheppard, a very special friend Casaundra Sheppard, One brother Ivory Sheppard Jr., Three sisters Faith Sheppard, Kashfi Sheppard, and Ebony (Dominic) Palangi. Grandfather James Sheppard, Goddaughter Destiny Butler, three god sons Destin Ryder, Justice Butler, and Nehemiah Parsons, three special nephews Rakeaf Sheppard, Ramell Sheppard, and Ivory Sheppard lll, three special aunts Sherry Bailey, Juanita Warren, and Gloria Jones, special cousins Edwina Burks, Shannon Burks, Rashita Lewis, Sarah Warren, and Sam Warren, three special friends Michael Butler, Rufus Ryder, and Detrick Butler, and a host of other friends, nieces, nephews, aunt's, uncle's, and cousins. Ivan was preceded in death by his father Ivory Sheppard Sr., Paternal grandmother Sarah Sheppard, cousins Terrance Lee Purnell Jr., and Steven Warren.
