Harrison Vernon Evans
March 16, 1948 - January 25, 2022
HARRISON’S JOURNEY Harrison Vernon Evans, better known as Tommy, was born on March 16, 1948 in Crisfield, Maryland. He departed this life at the age of seventy-three (73) on January 25, 2022. He was the son of the late George and Lorretta Evans. He moved to Hurlock, Maryland to live with his foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin and Hattie Coleman. He attended Mace’s Lane High School in Cambridge, Maryland. As a teenager, he also attended Union Grove Methodist Church, now known as Hurlock United Methodist Church. He loved to cook and sing. One of his favorite songs was “One Day At A Time.” He was a member of the Golden Stars Gospel of Hurlock, Gospel Travelliers and others gospel groups throughout the years. Harrison had been employed by Acme Market Co., Coldwater Seafood, Inc. and Hurlock Elementary Schools until his health began to fail. Those who knew him saw that big heart warming smile he was blessed with and he passed that same smile down to his son. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Evans and sister, Eleanora Evans. Harrison leaves to cherish precious memories: a loving and caring son, Harrison V. Cephas, known as “Sonny”, of Cambridge Maryland; two brothers, Les Evans and Anthony Evans; one sister, Lillie Colman; his best friend, William Collins; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and a loving care-giver for fifteen (15) years, Annette Cephas. LOVINGLY SUBMITTED, THE FAMILY
