His Life Erving Rufus Landing, a resident of Fruitland, Maryland, was born September 04, 1953 in Princess Anne, Maryland to the late Albert Landing and Corine Mullen. At the age of sixty-nine (69), he was called to rest on November 23, 2021 at his home in Fruitland, Maryland. After receiving his formal education in the Somerset County public school system in Princess Anne, Maryland, Erving was employed in various trades and occupations. More than anything, Erving loved his family and enjoyed socializing and being around family and friends. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed watching “his” team. Erving worked as a Maintenance man before he became ill. In addition to his parents, Erving was preceded in death by his wife Adell Landing; three sisters, Delores Stevenson, Angie Miles and Armice Sams and one brother, Albert “Tommy” Landing. Left to cherish precious memories of Erving’s life are: his two sons, Darryl Walston (Viola) and Torell Green, Sr. (wife); one brother, Robert Cottman (Carol); two sisters, Jeanie Fox (Leroy) and Iris Coleman (Earl); a very special lady in his life, Juanita Deshields, whom he called his wife; one uncle, James Mullen; one aunt, Rebecca Gaulin and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
