Ernest’s Journey Ernest Jefferson, Jr., better known as (EJ), was born on November 13, 1965 in Salisbury, Maryland. The beloved son of Ernest Jefferson, Sr. and Audrey Jefferson, he entered into eternal rest on February 25, 2022. Ernest was educated in the Accomack County public school system. A graduate of Arcadia High School in Oak Hall, Virginia, EJ joined the United States Navy in 1985. EJ worked at Sysco in Pocomoke City, Maryland, Kelly Foods in Berlin, Maryland and Mountaire Feed Mill in Westover, Maryland. At an early age, EJ accepted Jesus Christ in his life. He loved to read his Bible and listen to Pastor Gino Jennings of First Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. EJ would faithfully call his mother to have Bible studies on Wednesdays. He would say, “Mom, are you ready to dig into the word of pain? Mom would always say, “Yes.” EJ taught his mother a lot about the word of “GOD.” EJ loved fishing and crabbing and watching his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He would always have a smile on his face and he was and an awesome comedic. EJ leaves to cherish precious memories: his wife, Melody Williams of Berlin, Maryland; his daughter, Zeida Jefferson of Berlin, Maryland; siblings, Bonnie Cunningham of Princess Anne, Maryland, Jerome Copes of Pasadena, Maryland and Keisha Thornton of Salisbury, Maryland; brother-in-law, Andre Niskey; god brother, Tom Brown of Temperanceville, Virginia and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends.
