Charles Collins Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

HIS LIFE Charles Collins, beloved son of the late Oscar Henry Mason and Ethel Collins, entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Charles, known to family and friends as Hoss, Charlie or Buddy, was born February 24, 1939, in Stockton, Maryland. He was educated in the public schools of Worcester County, before entering the workforce. After many years of working various vocations, he retired from Worcester County. On November 9, 1960, he was united in holy matrimony to Hattie “Betty” Brown and from this union they were blessed with five children—Charles (Chiffon) of Berlin, Maryland, Stanford (Ludamila) of Baltimore, Maryland, Brian (Teresa) of Prince George, Virginia, Genise Fleming of Salisbury, Maryland and Paula Collins of Prince George, Virginia. Also left to mourn is a stepmother, Louvenia Phillips of Pocomoke City, Maryland and four sons, Ronnie (Wanda) White of Pocomoke City, Maryland, Wendell White of Pocomoke City, Maryland. Timothy (Sheryle) Townsend of McDonough, Georgia, and Warren (Connie) Peyton, of Federal Way, Washington. Hoss also leaves to cherish fond memories two brothers, Leon (Barbara) Mason of Pocomoke City, Maryland, Norman Mason of Wilmington, Delaware, and five sisters, Elsie Bivens of Essex, Maryland, Lottie Manuel, Ethel “Irene” Johnson, and Allena Bagwell, all of Salisbury, Maryland and Beatrice Fryer of Pocomoke City, Maryland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Bagwell and Ella Schoolfield, and two brothers, James Mason and Otha Mason. In addition to his children, stepmother and siblings Hoss is survived by 17 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lovingly Submitted- The Family
