Remembering Bonita D. Cooper Bonita Denell Cooper departed her earthly home on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Peak Healthcare at Chestertown. She was fifty-eight (58) years old and was born on Saturday, August 10, 1963. Bonita was preceded in death by her mother Shirley E. Jones, husband Walter Cooper, Jr. and brother Duran (Randy) Jones. Bonita received her formal education in the Kent County public school system and worked various domestic jobs throughout her life. She gave her life to Christ at an early age at Union United Methodist Church. She loved singing and praising God. Her favorite songs were “Yes Jesus Loves Me” and “His Eye Is On The Sparrow.” She frequently visited The Potter's House and Bethel AME Churches. Bonita enjoyed spending time with her family and she adored her nieces and nephews. She cherished spending time with her granddaughter Victoria. Bonita also enjoyed playing cards, watching Lifetime movies, interacting with children, spending hours on the phone with her family and friends, and eating and cooking for her father. Bonita was known for her beautiful smile, feisty personality, always speaking her mind and assisting her brother Marvin as a caregiver for their aunt Sarah. Bonita leaves to cherish lasting and loving memories with: her father, William A. Jones, Sr.; one daughter, Kevia Exum; one son, Walter Lamar Cooper; one grandson, Shakur Wilson; one granddaughter, Victoria Cooper; two brothers, Marvin Scott and William Jones, Jr.; three aunts, Faye (James) Little, Doris Hunley and Cynthia Oakley; two uncles, Richard Jones and Marvin Oakley, Sr.; her fiancé, Joseph Miller; her best friend, Bridget Goldsboro; a devoted sister-cousin and caregiver, Dierdre (Linnie) Jones-Turner and a host of cousins, in-laws and friends.
