Obituary for Willie Mae Baker (Williams)

Willie Mae Baker passed peacefully from this life the morning of May 26, 2020, after a gradual decline in health.

Willie Mae was a loving mother and wife. She was loving and generous and didn’t mind helping others when they needed it. She was always the first to show up and the last to leave when others were in need.

Willie Mae was born in Cordele, Georgia, but moved to Lake Monroe, Florida, at a young age. In October of 2017, she moved to Smyrna, Delaware, to live with her son, daughter in-law and grandchildren. BOY DID SHE HATE THE COLD, AND ALWAYS HAD TO BE IN A HOT ROOM. She was surrounded by her loving family during the last days of her life. She surly will be missed.

Willie Mae is survived by her son: Anthony Brent” Baker, “daughter-in-law Marva Baker; three grandchildren, Alyssa, AJ and Ashlyn; sister, Luthenia Michelle; sister-in-law, Theresa Swanson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Winton Baker.
