Obituary

Nathaniel, known to his family and friends as Weedy, passed peacefully at home, in his sleep, on October 3, 2020.

Weedy was born in Dover, Delaware, on August 3, 1963, to Shirley Stevens and Nathan Morris, Sr. Weedy had a love for speed and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, “The Truth”, until his health no longer permitted. He had a big heart and loved spending time with his family and special friends at the “office”. Weedy was that husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, who always provided a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen and a heart to provide comfort. He never resisted the opportunity to tell a story or provide a life lesson to those who needed advice. His uplifting spirit and words of wisdom will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Nathaniel was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Mosley.

To cherish his loving memory forever, he leaves his wife, Paula Morris; four daughters, Dontia Yates (Danerio), Lashonda Morris, Zoë Harris and Elizabeth Taulbee; two sons, Keshaun Morris and Warren Key; four grandchildren, Daemont Yates, Danerio Yates Ⅱ, Dayshawn Yates and Amir Coward; seven sisters, Vicky Morris, Doris Williams (Harvey), Tina Hughes (Ronald), Valerie Mosely, Leslie Mosely, Vella Clendaniel (John) and Latisha Hall (Chris); three brothers, Nathan Morris Jr., Charles Morris (Cynthia) and Leon Mosely (Renee); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

This is a hard pill to swallow; You no longer being here with your loved ones. But You are no longer suffering. You are resting, in a deep sleep (Eccles 9) and at peace. Our Almighty Creator, Jehovah keeps his promises. And He has promised "those in the memorial tombs will...come out". John 5:28, 29. This promised future includes perfect health and more. LaShonda and Amir, I am so sorry x10 for the loss of your Dad/grandad. Y'all have some grand memories to reminisce on. My heartfelt sympathy to the Family. Praying that the God of all comfort, comfort you during this difficult time. With Love, Gracy, Orlando, FL
