Obituary

Keith Lamont Daniels was born on Wednesday, December 31, 1969, in Milford, Delaware, to Maurice Daniels Sr. & Charmaine Harris Daniels. He departed this life on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Bayhealth Hospital in Dover, Delaware.
Keith attended public school in the Milford School District, graduating from Milford High School in 1989. Growing up, he was an avid basketball player and member of the Milford Middle School Blue Devils, who won two championships consecutively. Keith was the point guard for the Milford High School Buccaneer’s.
Keith was a former member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. During his youth he participated in youth fellowship, youth choir and attended Sunday School.
Keith graduated as a certified welder from Sussex Vocational Technical School. His skills allowed him to be employed as a mechanic for various companies, with his last employment being at Mountaire Farms in Millsboro. Keith started as a mechanic, but his diligence and strong work ethic led him to various promotions, where his final position was Area Maintenance Manager. His personality was one to encourage, support and further develop his maintenance team, as well as those in his work environment. Keith was a hard-working husband, dad, son and caregiver.
In 2006, Keith met the love of his life, Rachel Aqui, while working at Perdue Farms. They were married in 2007, in the beautiful twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Together, they raised five children: Keilanii, Alyoune, Dielle, Kal-El and Zion. Keith was also the father of Monique Daniels, Xavier Daniels and DeJuan Ortiz, from his previous marriage to Janet Ortiz Daniels, along with Ke’Jhyra Philips and Kashaira Philips.
Keith was always playful and fun-loving. In his spare time, he loved to bowl and was passionate about riding his motorcycle, basketball and football. Most importantly, he was a devoted father and family man who enjoyed travelling with his family.
Keith leaves to cherish precious and fond memories, his wife of 13 years, Rachel; children, Monique, Xavier, Ke’Jhyra, Keilanii and Alyoune; stepchildren DeJuan, Kashaira, Dielle, Kal-El and Zion; parents, Maurice Sr. and Charmaine Daniels; grandmothers, Daisey V. Daniels & Eugina Harris; mother-in-law, Cheryl Aqui; one brother, Maurice Daniels, Jr., and his wife Tyna Lovell Daniels; one sister, Christol Daniels and her husband Charles Harper; grandchild, Lilyanna Dotson; best friend, Donnie Collins and his wife Benita Collins; nephews, nieces and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
