Obituary

Dora Marie Jackson, also known as “Pudnie”, entered into eternal rest, on October 5, 2020, at Talbot Hospice Center, in Easton, Maryland. She was 79 years old. She was born on December 14, 1940, to the late Ida R. Macer and the late Jacob Macer.
Dora was educated in the Dorchester County School System.

Dora was employed at Maryland Plastics for over 45 years, as a floor leader. After her retirement, she worked at Sisk Fulfillment Service, Inc., in Federalsburg, Maryland, for six years, as a mail sorter.

Dora attended the Church of God in Christ, in Eldorado, Maryland. She enjoyed watching television, especially the Baltimore Ravens and Dr. Pimple Popper. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and going to Dollar General, in Federalsburg, Maryland, to meet and greet the female employees.

Dora is survived by her husband, Keifford Jackson, Vienna, MD; six children, Jerome Macer (Rhonda), Joyce Bonds, both of Federalsburg, MD; Keifford Jackson of Hagerstown, MD, Nancy Jackson (Mike) of Bowie, MD, Charlotte Butler (Deryl) of Randallstown, MD and Bonnie Rooks (Clyde) of Greenwood, DE; special aunt & uncle, Albert and Dorothy Baynard; two sisters, Dorothy McKnight of Hurlock, MD and Floretta Austin of Seaford, DE; special children she raised, Dontra “Barbara” Wongus of Hurlock, MD, Marvin Thompson of Federalsburg, MD and Rosalind Jackson of Cambridge, MD; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth Daniels, Yolanda Macer, Jackie Macer, Towanda Tolliver (Emmett), Deryl Butler, Christopher Butler (Brittany), Nicole Butler, Jeffrey Butler, Jr. and Evonda Rooks; several great-grand and great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Drucilla Macer of High point, NC, Bessie Mae Jackson Jones of Hebron, MD and Vatice Walker of Rhodesdale, MD; brother-in-law, Winfield Jackson of Rhodesdale, MD; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Dora was preceded in death by her son, Jacob Macer; daughter, Patricia Macer; brother, Alphonso Macer, Sr.; nephew, Alphonso Macer, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Travon Nichols and Alanna Butler, as well as several aunts and uncles.
