On the morning of Tuesday, October 20, 2020, the Lord saw fit to call his servant, Darlene, home, where she would be free from all sickness and pain and forever be wrapped in his warm embrace. Darlene Annette Sudler Jackson was born February 14, 1964, in Dover, Delaware, to the late George Elliot, Sr. and Shirley Velma Sudler Baynard.

Darlene attended the Smyrna School District. Not long after graduating, she met her future husband, Johnnie L Jackson and on October 12, 1985, they were united in marriage. The couple has three children, Travis, Darlene and Dazzaray.

In the late '80s to '90s, Darlene earned her CNA License and worked at the Delaware Home and Hospital for the Chronically Ill for many years. She then decided to work in finance. She also increased her financial status by becoming a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant.

Darlene accepted Christ in 1986, at the family's home church, Greater Life Christian Church. Darlene remained a dedicated member of the church for over 30 years and served faithfully under the ministry of the late Bishop James A. Ashley, Sr., and Rosie A. Ashley. She was a licensed and ordained minister and prophetess. Darlene served as head of the hospitality committee, kitchen ministry, usher board, and armor bearer to the first lady.

In addition to her parents, Prophetess Jackson was preceded in death by her grandparents, Norman Sudler and Beatrice Sudler; sister, Shirley Sudler and brother, Willie Sudler.

Darlene leaves to celebrate her passing, her husband, Johnnie Jackson of West Palm Beach, Florida; son, Travis Sudler; daughters, Darlene Pressey (Akeem Pressey) and Dazzaray Hines; sister Sharon Sudler; brother, George Elliot, Jr.; close nieces, Temisha Sudler and Tamara Sudler; close nephew, Jeremy Ashley; grandchildren, Khiry Sudler, Malachi Jackson, Da'Shonti Hines, Rodney Hines, Jr., Jeremiah Jackson and Akeela Pressey; best friend, Joann Murray; and a host of family and friends.

Darlene loved a good time, but most of all she loved the Lord. Her favorite saying, after giving her life to Christ, was " No Compromising". She was such an amazing woman; sweet, goofy, and could sell water to the ocean. But what people loved most of all about Darlene was her hugs that you could feel down in your spirit every single time she hugged you. Darlene will be greatly missed.
