Beulah Mae Smith, age 82, passed away at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland on Wednesday evening, February 8, 2012.
Born April 6, 1929 in Salisbury, Maryland. She lived in Snow Hill all of her life until recently, living with her daughter, Kassie Stevenson in Girdletree, Maryland. Beulah worked at the Snow Hill Chicken Processing Plant and as a Bus Aide with the Worcester County Public School (Head Start Program) for many years then finally, retiring from Moore Business Farm. Beulah was very active member of the Usher Board and sang on the choir at church. Beulah was a strong advocate for education. She created the William P. Smith Scholarship Fund, in honor of her son who was an Educator.
Beulah leaves to cherish her memories, her son, McKinley & Wife Lanette Smith, daughters Gloria & husband Henry King & daughter Roseda Hardy all of Snow Hill, daughter, Kassie Stevenson of Girdletree, son, Smitty Williams of Severn, Maryland, brother, Nathan & wife Judy Barkley of Salisbury, Maryland; a close friend and sister-in-law Wanda Waters; Beulah has 17 grand-kids and 27 great grand-kids and a host of other relatives and friends.
