Yolanda C. Smack

Yolanda Crystal Smack, age 56 of Seaford Delaware, departed this life to eternal rest with the Lord on Monday, September 2, 2013 to her heavenly home. "Lonnie" as we so affectionately called her, was born October 22, 1956 in Milford, Delaware to the late Martin J. and Louise Smack. Lonnie received her formal education at the Woodbridge School District. She resided in the Bridgeville Coverdale Crossroads area, where she lived with her family. You could often find Lonnie enjoying a game of spades, eating her favorite foods and sipping on iced tea. Her favorite food she loved was always Pork Egg Foo Young with Fried Rice. She enjoyed being around her family. especially doing barbeque cook-outs or a holiday family gathering. Whenever family and friends would come to visit, you could often hear Lonnie sharing in conversation that she had millions, and billions and zillions and gazillions of dollars, because the Smacks were rich and they had money. She often talked about how many banks she had. Lonnie had a heart of gold and would give you her last. She really didn't mind sharing her money. Whenever she would come in contact with someone she knew, she would say; "come here I got something for you", And of course! It would be some money. That's just the type of person she was. If you were having a bad day, Lonnie would act silly and show off to make you laugh. And if she was upset about anything, she would surely let you know right away. Lonnie was preceded in death by her parents; Martin known as "Buster" and Louise Smack; her fraternal grandparents Howard and Minnie Smack; and her maternal grandparents, Edward and Frances Johnson; a sister, Pastor Barbara Jackson, and a brother, Martin Keith Smack. Lonnie made her peace with God and she accepted the Lord as her personal Savior. Lonnie leaves to cherish her memories two sisters, Rosemary Brown (husband Elmer) of Seaford, DE and Rosemarie Smack of Seaford, DE; one brother, Allison Lamont Smack of Quantico, Maryland; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She leaves behind a special friend, David Moffey of New Castle, Delaware and a close friend, Samantha Hall of Frankford, Delaware.
