William Donald Perry Jr.

William Donald Perry, Jr., a resident of Fruitland, Maryland, was granted his angel wings on Wednesday July 14, 2021. His final days were spent at his home with his family by his side. William, who was known as “Donnie” by his family, and known as “Donald” or “Don” by his friends, was born in Salisbury, Maryland on November 3, 1970. He was the son of Helen Audrey Perry and the late William Donald Perry, Sr. Donnie attended Wicomico County public schools, graduating from Parkside Senior High School in 1988. After graduating high school, Donnie enlisted in the United States Army. During his enlistment, he served as a Parachute Rigger. His many decorations include the following…Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Expert Marksmanship Badge-Grenade, Marksman Marksmanship Badge, Parachutist Badge, Parachute Rigger Badge, Army Lapel Button, and the French Parachutist Badge. After Donnie’s enlistment, he returned to Salisbury, where he met and married Priscilla Townsend (Perry) on May 22, 1999. He built a loving family, raising three sons. He spent the majority of his professional career at Cadista Pharmaceuticals in Salisbury, Maryland. Donnie was a wonderful, caring human being loved by many. He was a quiet soul who made people laugh. He loved flowers, decorating his home, and drawing. He loved his family, both immediate and extended and enjoyed spending time “in the yard” for family gatherings. Donnie also loved traveling and spending time with his extended family when he could. His grandson, Cameron “Cam” and granddaughter, Noriah were especially important to him. And of course, Donnie loved his “Misfit Toys.” He had a love for vintage automobiles, auto shows, and his 1948 Chevy Pickup and 1965 Buick Special. Donnie was preceded in death by his father, William Donald Perry, Sr. and his granddaughter, Akirah Waters. Cherished memories will remain with: his wife of twenty-two (22) years, Priscilla Perry; his sons, Corey Perry, Joshua Perry and Calvin Waters; his siblings, Anna Perry Watkins (Keith), Jason Perry, Donna Pinder and Dawn Watkins; mother, Helen Perry; grandson, Cameron Perry; granddaughter, Noriah Waters; niece, Khloe Watkins and nephews, Christian Clayton and Matthew Clayton; several aunts and uncles; numerous cousins who were like brothers/sisters; and several extended family members and friends who will continue to honor his memory by living their lives to the fullest with unity and integrity.
