Wayne Alvin Cain Jr.

Wayne Alvin Cain Jr., born on January 16, 1971, at Kent and Queen Annes Hospital in Chestertown, Maryland, to Betty Ann Cain, Worton and the late Wayne Alvin Cain Sr. He was born and raised in Worton Point and was called home to rest on November 17, 2018 in Ocean City, Maryland, where he resided most of his adult life. He loved Ocean City and would spend time sitting on the boardwalk, people watching and talking with his local friends. He was known as “Junie” and “June June” to his family and friends. He received his education in Kent County Public Schools and graduated in the "Class of 1990". He was a very popular guy in school and played many sports including wrestling, track and field, and football. He was part of the 1990 Championship Football Team for the Kent County High School Trojans. He had a close group of friends and his sisters which were known as the brothahood and sistahood. He went to Chesapeake College, but decided that he wanted to live in Ocean City. Wayne loved to cook and was a Head Cook at Harbor House and Great Oaks in Worton and Phillips Seafood and the Hobbit Restaurants in Ocean City. He was an Electrician Apprentice for Choptank Electric. Wayne was born and raised in church. He attended his home church and gave his life to God at St. George's United Methodist Church and was part of the Youth Choir. He re-dedicated his life to God 10 years ago, when back home for a visit to his hometown church. When he moved to Ocean City, he attended Atlantic United Methodist Church and Sonspot. He met some very specials friend that supported him while he lived there: Bob T, Bob C, Jose, and Walter. Wayne was the grandson of the late Nancy and Charles Lively and the late John Alvin Cain and Maxine Cain. He is survived by his mother, Betty Cain of Worton; daughter, Naya Cain and stepson Issac Greer of Hampton, VA; sisters, Mirelle Cain Kraus (John) of Rock Hall, Regina Jones of Worton, Tanganika Cain of Worton (Troy), Stephaine Person (David) of Chestertown, and brother, Bocambi Cain (Roshira) of Rock Hall; two great aunts, Anna Mae Dorsey of Still Pond and Bessie Dickerson of Barclay; and a host of aunts and uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
