Tyrone Sampson

Tyrone Sampson was born on Tuesday, May 17, 1983, to Helene Wise and Jerry Green, and was reared by William Wise, his step-father. He departed this life on Monday, April 1, 2019, at Kent General Hospital in Dover, Delaware. Tyrone, better known as “Wezy”, did his early years of schooling at Caesar Rodney High School. He was enrolled at Polytech Adult Education School and was set to graduate in May 2019. During his years of employment, he labored with Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDot) as a flagger. Tyrone met Brittney Sturgis 13 years ago and they were joined in holy matrimony for the last two years. From this union came four children and with their combined families, they had a total of six children. Wezy loved going to parties, playing basketball, hanging out with friends, telling jokes, going to bar-b-ques and just being the life of the party. Tyrone could be found attending various churches doing family activities with his children and friends. Tyrone loved giving donations to various churches. Wezy would help take care of his family and give whenever needed. He loved taking care of his mother Helene and she loved taking care of him. His favorite song by Shana Wilson was “Give Me You”. Tyrone “Wezy” was preceded in death by his maternal grand-parents, Elmer and Lillie Jacobs and two cousins, Shawnpa Sampson and Tavyon Sykes. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Brittney Sturgis of Dover; five sons Tyrone Sampson Jr., Ty’Ayre, Ty’Jere, Ty’zere and Ty’cere Sampson; one daughter Ty’laya Sampson; his mother Helene Wise (William), father Jerry Green of Baltimore; sisters, Reshonda (Greg) Green, Pam Garner (Eugene) both of Ocala, Florida; Latasha Harmon (Darnell), Diamonik Bailey (Mark) and Katherine Wise from Dover DE, Shanda Quails of Federalsburg, MD; one brother, William Jackson of Bridgeville, DE; one god-son, Patrick Ezean of Dover, DE and one god-daughter, Ericka Singletary of Harrington, DE; two nephews, Markland and Zayden Bailey, both of Dover, DE, four sisters-in-law, Shalonda Ross of Milford, Kiara Sturgis of Dover, Alicia and Aaliyah Hurst of Milton, DE; one brother in law, Anthony Sturgis of Millsboro, DE; mother-in-law, Beverley Sturgis-Blake (Quincy) of Bishopville, MD; father-in-law Mark Showell (Kaneka) of Millsboro, DE. Tyrone “Wezy” has very faithful friends such as John Diggs, Jude Dennis and Richard Peace and host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Lovingly Submitted by the Family
