Twanna Na'Chelle Baines

TWANNA’S LIFE AND LEGACY Mrs. Twanna Na’Chelle Baines, a resident of Baltimore, Maryland, transitioned at the age of forty-five (45) on Monday, January 16, 2023, in Savannah, Georgia. She was born in Salisbury, Maryland to Moses Albert Nixon and Sandra Mae Ross on September 14, 1977. She grew up in Princess Anne, Maryland with her family. She graduated from Washington High School Class of 1997, where she developed lifelong friendships and an appreciation for fashion, decorating, and cooking. After attending Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury, Maryland and earning her AAS in Business in 2010, her love for fashion and creativity led her to venture into her own catering business, decorating and special occasion gifts. She was the owner of Simply Bliss Bridal and Party Extraordinaire, Food Gossip Catering, and Quatiously Sweet Treats. She met more lifelong friends, including her husband, Darryl Baines Sr., with whom she shared nineteen (19) years after being married on July 18, 2009. Twanna worked as a Case Worker at Howard County Public Housing Authority. She loved to give back to the community and help wherever she could assist. She joined the Order of the Eastern Stars, PHA Jurisdiction of Florida, D.W. Perkins No. 29 in May 2019. She later transferred to Queen B. Williams No. 43. She became a member of Zeta Amicae in December 2019. Then in January 2020, she was a charter member of the Zeta Amicae of Jacksonville Beaches Florida, Redliners Social Club and City Girl Social Club. While she enjoyed giving back to the community, she was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, 8 children, 4 grandchildren, 4 siblings and 3 godchildren. She is survived by: her parents, Moses Nixon Jr. and Sandra Mae Ross; loving husband, Darryl Baines, Sr.; children, Ta’Keria McCloud, Talint Curtis, Tanija Herring, Ty’Asia Baines, Darryl Baines, Jr., DeShawn Baines and Justin Baines; grandchildren, Sh’Kise Spencer, Jr, Khison Curtis, Torié Spencer and Icelynn Curtis; siblings, Dion Nixon, Devonia Nixon, Latifah Nixon, Taryn Nixon and Tamara Nixon; godchildren, Jawan Chandler, Micah Cutler, and Lyrika Goeins and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and relatives. She was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents, her son Booker Curtis IV, and niece, Ceani Smalls. SUBMITTED WITH LOVE, THE FAMILY
