Tienya Cannon

Obituary Tienya Sherae Cannon Aka “Baby cakes” was born on April 24, 1980 to the late Denise Rochelle Manuel and Steven Ray Williams. Tienya departed this life on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Johns Hopkins Hospital-Baltimore at the age of 34 after a long term illness. Tienya received her early education in both the Wicomico and Sussex County school districts, graduating from Sussex Tech. Education was very important to Tienya, so she then furthered her education at Delaware Tech and went on to receive numerous degrees. Tienya was very loving and caring to almost everybody. Tienya accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was a believer throughout her life. She never doubted the love God had for her. Tienya enjoyed watching the stories, going fishing, and playing games on the internet. She always believed in helping others before she would help herself. Anyone who knew Tienya, knew she was known for keeping her nails decorated. She enjoyed having those moments getting her nails done in all kind of flavors and designs. Tienya leaves to cherish her memories her significant other, William Twyman; her one and only daughter Korie P.S. Jones (Marcel Cannon); the only father she knew Monroe Smith; maternal sisters Lashonda Hunter (Christopher Allen) and Shunee Cannon; fraternal sisters Tyshena Williams and Chandra Williams; maternal brother Melvin Freeman; a great nephew whom she loved dearly Nahjuan Conner; special nieces Chasity Smith, Llasia Hunter and Jasmine Conner; special and long term friends Lachrisha Henderson, Sheryl Cephas and Sharonda Handy; her Godmother, Annette Thompson; a “second mother” Joyce Sessoms; her beloved dog, Nella and a host of family and friends as well. If you were not mentioned by name, just know that she loved you as well.
